Athy GFC Oh What a Year!

On Behalf of Athy GFC we wish all our players, mentors, helpers members, supporters, sponsors and friends a very Merry Christmas and fruitful new year. This was the most successful year that the club has ever had winning at the Kildare Championship at Senior, Junior, Under 21 and at underage level both boys and girls. When we think that the minors brought home the Leinster title earlier this year and that the senior team were narrowly beaten by Garrycastle in the Leinster campaign the future is bright for the club. A year when Michael Foley was outstanding for Kildare bagging an All-Star for his endeavours. We are very proud of Michael as we are of Paddy Dunne and Darroch's efforts in helping the Kildare Juniors to great success this year. Congratulations to all our players who represented Kildare so well at every level this year especially all the underage boys and girls. In a year when Athy GFC was named Club of the Year in Kildare, the future is certainly bright - the future is Red & White. With that we look forward to a peaceful and relaxing Christmas and another great year in 2012.
